Hotel Bulevard is located on Queen Elisabeth Boulevard on the corner of Victoria Avenue. Hotel Bulevard is only steps away from Revolution Square and the Romanian Athenaeum in the heart of the capital. The distance to Otopeni International Airport is 17 km. It is one of the oldest hotels in Bucharest and is one of Alexandra Orascu's projects (the architectural designer for the University of Bucharest). Opened in 1873, under the name of Herdan Hotel, its name was changed to Grand Hotel du Boulevard in 1877. This name can be seen even today upon the frontispiece overlooking Queen Elisabeth Boulevard. With running water in every apartment, it was the most modern hotel of its time.
